• Interact professionally with other employees, students, parents, school partners, and community members.
• Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
• Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with supervisors, coworkers, faculty, and partner schools.

The PTECH Summer Bridge Instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of summer instruction designed to support incoming PTECH students before the start of the fall semester. The program focuses on strengthening foundational mathematics and physics skills, reviewing key academic concepts, and preparing students for success in STEM‑related coursework. The instructor will create an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes academic confidence, critical thinking, and college readiness skills for students entering the PTECH program.

The instructor performs all other duties as directed by program leadership.

• Coordinate and instruct summer bridge coursework for incoming PTECH students
• Review and reinforce foundational concepts in mathematics and physics that are essential for fall coursework success; develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and enrichment activities appropriate for high school students entering STEM pathways.
• Create an approved course syllabus and teach all courses at a level appropriate for assigned students
• Support students in developing problem‑solving, analytical reasoning, and study skills
• Keep active at a high level of expertise in the subjects taught and stimulate enthusiasm for STEM learning
