A. Cirillo High School are seeking a dedicated, student-centered Secondary Math Teacher to join our instructional team beginning August 2026.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices, the ability to build positive relationships with students, and a commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all learners. Candidates should possess a strong background in mathematics instruction and a collaborative mindset when working with colleagues, families, and support staff.
Qualifications:- New York State Certification in Mathematics (Grades 7–12) required
- Preference will be given to candidates who also hold certification in Special Education
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Delivering rigorous and engaging mathematics instruction aligned to New York State Learning Standards
- Using data-informed instructional practices to support student achievement
- Collaborating with colleagues, intervention staff, and special education teachers to meet diverse student needs
- Maintaining effective communication with students, families, and staff
- Participating in professional learning opportunities and school-related activities
Rate of pay is based on years of experience in accordance with the Gananda Teachers' Association Contract.
- Annual salaries begin at $46,300 for Step 1 with a Bachelor's degree
- Additional $1,200 annual bonus for candidates holding a Master's degree
- Salary and bonus (if applicable) will be prorated based on the dates of the assignment
