General Description: SUNY Niagara seeks a part‑time instructor to teach general and organic chemistry lectures and laboratory courses. Classes are conducted on the main campus in Sanborn, NY. Compensation is $1,008 per lecture hour and $903 per lab hour for teaching at least 3 credits in a semester.

• Teach general and organic chemistry lectures and laboratory courses.
• Prepare, develop, and present course materials to a diverse student population.
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, supervisors, and the campus community.
• Operate computers and use instructional technology for course delivery.
• Maintain classroom management and safety standards required for laboratory instruction.
• Attend departmental meetings and professional development sessions as required.

• Work with and teach a diverse student population.
• Speak in front of groups and communicate effectively.
• Develop, prepare, and present information to students.
• Operate computers and essential instructional technology.
• Perform physical duties required by the position.

• Master’s Degree in Chemistry or related field, or Bachelor’s Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Chemistry or related field.

• Doctorate degree in Chemistry or related field.
• At least two years of teaching experience at the community college level.
