Chemistry Adjunct Professor
The Department of Chemistry at the Queens campus of St. John's University, located in New York City, invites applicants for adjunct instructor positions in foundational first- and second-year chemistry courses.
Responsibilities- Teach lecture, laboratory, and recitation sections of general chemistry and organic chemistry to undergraduate students.
- Plan syllabus and assignments in alignment with course objectives.
- Provide academic support and assessment.
- Demonstrate commitment to excellence in undergraduate chemistry teaching.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion in pedagogy.
- M.S. in chemistry or a closely related field, or currently pursuing an advanced degree.
- Ability to teach foundational undergraduate chemistry courses.
- Demonstrated teaching experience or promise in chemistry is strongly encouraged.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
