Duties:
Provide academic and instructional support to individual or small groups of students under the direct supervision of appropriate teacher and/or administrative personnel. Prepare instructional materials as needed; including maintaining appropriate records of student progress under the direction of the appropriate staff member. Provide assistance with related instructional work and available resources as required Communicate with students, staff, and family members for academic and behavioral purposes and/or concerns.
Perform other related duties as assigned Salary: $21.50 per hour minimum, with a higher rate based on related work experience, plus full-time benefits per RHEA, Coalition Unit, Paraprofessionals Chapter
Qualifications:
NYS Teacher or Teaching Assistant certification required (or ability to obtain immediately upon appointment). Prior experience as a teacher or a teaching assistant is preferred
