Associate​/Full Professor, Biostatistics-Tenure Track

Position Responsibilities

The successful candidate will serve as a faculty member (Associate or Full Professor) in the Division of Biostatistics, Department of Epidemiology and Population Health, and as Director of the Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design Resource (BERD) within the Harold and Muriel Block Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR). The role includes advancing biomedical research, education, and supporting clinical and translational investigations across Einstein and the Montefiore Health System.

• Lead and coordinate consulting, research, and educational activities in the ICTR BERD; establish policies and guidelines, manage funding and personnel, set priorities, and provide vision.
• Participate in multidisciplinary biomedical collaborations with investigators across Einstein and Montefiore.
• Conduct methodological and applied research in biostatistics.
• Teach biostatistics courses to master’s and doctoral students in the biomedical sciences.
• Mentor students, trainees, and junior faculty.
• Participate in departmental, institutional, and national service and leadership activities.

• PhD (or equivalent) in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
• Strong record of peer‑reviewed publications and extramural funding commensurate with rank.
• Demonstrated excellence in collaborative research in clinical and translational science.
• Experience in biostatistics teaching and mentoring.
• For Full Professor candidates, evidence of sustained scholarly leadership and national or international recognition.

Annual base salary range: USD $ – $ per year, dependent on academic rank and other factors.
