The Didactic Adjunct Faculty member will teach in the undergraduate program in Manhattan, NY in the classroom at the discretion of the Director of Nursing. The faculty member will participate in curriculum development implementation and evaluation of classroom instruction.
Responsibilities- Meet assigned course load as agreed upon at the beginning of term
- Provide high quality instruction to students in assigned courses with emphasis on active teaching strategies to engage students
- Be available to students for office hours as directed by Director of Nursing
- Submit grades for assignments as directed by course coordinator
- Provide regular feedback to students
- Plan instructional activities
- Communicate and issues with course coordinator
- Attend faculty meetings as per the Director of Nursing
Education/ Experience
- Master of Science in Nursing required.
- Doctorate Degree preferred.
- Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution preferred.
- Valid NY State Professional RN license.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience including clinical supervision of students.
- Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer or Health Provider.
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues required.
USD $100.00 / Hr.
Minimum SalaryUSD $80.00 / Hr.
