Teaching Assistant
Ardsley School District is seeking a Teaching Assistant at Concord Road Elementary School for the school year, effective immediately. The Teaching Assistant works under the general supervision of a certified teacher to support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development of students. This role involves providing one-on-one and small-group instructional support, preparing and organizing classroom materials, and assisting in classroom management. The Teaching Assistant also supervises students during transitions, lunch, and recess.
In addition to instructional support, the Teaching Assistant helps monitor student progress, addresses behavior concerns, and performs clerical tasks such as grading, attendance tracking, and recordkeeping, contributing to a well-functioning and inclusive classroom environment.
Must hold a valid New York State Teaching Assistant certificate or classroom teaching certificate. 10 month position - 4 year probationary period.
