Physical Education Teacher
Position: 0.5 FTE Physical Education Teacher School Year
Location:
PTECH - Newark, NY
Salary Range: $52,34-$61,805 (prorated to .5 FTE) based on experience and demonstrated abilities.
Benefits include paid holidays & leave time, NYS retirement, and health & dental insurance.
Start Date:
September 01, 2026
Depending on location, this position may involve direct work with students with autism, emotional and/or developmental disabilities which may include, but are not limited to, op positional and aggressive behaviors; mood disorders; and potentially severe and unpredictable physical and/or verbal outbursts. Teachers are expected to:
- Have ability to work with a diverse population of students.
- Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning.
- Provide specialized instruction to students with emotional and learning disabilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and provide resources to meet student learning needs.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents.
- Record and report student progress.
