Lead Teacher
We are seeking passionate and energetic Lead Teachers to inspire and nurture learners across all age groups in our brand new center in Macedon. In this vital role, you will be responsible for creating engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula that foster growth, curiosity, and confidence in children. Your leadership will ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and supported.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young minds while collaborating with dedicated teams to deliver exceptional early childhood education experiences.
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans appropriate to the age group of the classroom.
- Lead classroom activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social‑emotional development.
- Manage classroom environments effectively by establishing routines, behavior‑management strategies, and fostering positive interactions among children.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address individual needs—including special education and early intervention—and support child welfare initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high‑quality instruction and adherence to educational standards.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and inform instructional adjustments.
- Incorporate Montessori and other pedagogical approaches to enhance learning experiences across diverse settings such as daycare centers and private schools.
- Proven classroom management experience working with children across multiple age groups in early childhood education settings.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and delivering engaging lessons in literacy, math, physical education, and other core subjects.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with preschool practices, toddler care techniques, and daycare operations is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior‑management strategies, and child welfare best practices.
