Location: Near Altamont, NY

Duration: August 2024 - June 2025 (School Year)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified K-12 Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Specialist to join our team for the upcoming school year. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments, ensuring their educational needs are met in compliance with school, state, and federal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments across K-12 grade levels.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement effective educational plans.
• Utilize appropriate teaching methods and accommodations to enhance learning outcomes for students with hearing loss.
• Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Certification in NY (Required).
• Hearing Impairment Credential (NY).
• Masters Level Degree in Education for Teaching Deaf Students.
• Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to comply with school, state, and federal policies and procedures.
• Background Check, Fingerprint Clearance, and Drug Screening are required.
