Working Hours: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 9am - 10:50am

General Description

SUNY Niagara has a need for a part time Technical Theatre Instructor within the Arts, Humanities & Social Services division. The instructor will contribute to advancing the program through effective teaching, collaboration, and engagement with the college and community.

Responsibilities include instructing students in the Technical Aspects of Stage Production, including design, construction, safety, sound, and lighting. The instructor will be involved in set design and construction of the on‑campus productions. Typical attendance and College grading policies have to be adhered to.

Classes are held at SUNY Niagara’s main campus in Sanborn, NY.

In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, SUNY Niagara will accept applications on a continuous basis. Required Qualifications
  • Proven field experience as a theatre technician.
  • 3 years of experience in an educational institution.
Desirable Qualifications
  • A degree in technical theatre, education, or a related field.
  • Technical theatre background.
