Division/Department Information: Department of Economics and Finance is one of seven departments in the Tobin College of Business. The department has 8 full-time faculty members on the Economics side, utilizing several adjuncts to cover courses in the Tobin core at the undergraduate and graduate level and offers a B.S. and B.A. in Economics.
ResponsibilitiesThe Department of Economics & Finance within the Tobin College of Business n's University seeks adjuncts to teach Macro and Micro Principles and possibly Economics of Poverty and Inequality in the Fall 2026 semester and beyond for primarily daytime courses at our Queens campus (8000 Utopia Parkway) on Monday & Thursday or Tuesday & Friday.
QualificationsMaster's degree and prior teaching experience preferred in area or related field. Strong industry experience is strongly recommended.
Pay- Adjunct Professor $7,000 to $7,750
- Adjunct Associate Professor $6,300 to $7,300
- Adjunct Assistant Professor $5,500 to $6,500
- Adjunct Instructor $5,000 to 5,750
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the per course salary range for this position is $5,000 to $7,750. St. John's University considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
