Part Time Employment Facilitators – Fort Drum, NY

Join our team to assist and prepare service members who separate annually from the United States Military as they begin a new life chapter as civilians. The Department of Labor (DOL) Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) program requires contractor services to support transitioning Servicemen and women through its Transition Assistance Program (TAP), which includes job assistance workshops, employment counseling, apprenticeship program placements, and employer outreach.

• Provide guidance to transitioning Service members, identifying goals and addressing any employment or education gaps.
• Conduct large group instruction and provide individual counseling on the job search process.
• Assist Service members (Active, Reserve, National Guard), family members, and Veterans with understanding civilian employment, job searching, application processes, networking, credentialing, and participation in technical programs and schools.

• Associate’s degree or three (3) years of experience as a professional trainer or facilitator.
• Knowledgeable of workplace requirements for entry into jobs; capable of training groups (up to 50 participants) and providing individual career counseling.
• Proficient in MS Windows and Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively with military clients; comfortable instructing and speaking in front of a group; able to engage an audience and respond to inquiries independently.
