Location: New York

At Zeta, we operate multiple elementary and middle schools in the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, and Queens. This role is located in our Network Office for Academic Excellence and School Excellence at 425 Westchester Ave., Bronx, NY 10455. You will be expected to work in person most days, with optional remote days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and remote flexibility during academic breaks.

Director of Professional Learning

We are searching for a results-driven Associate Director of Professional Learning to design, implement, and continuously improve professional learning experiences that support our mission of world‑class education.

Responsibilities
  • Create effective professional learning experiences for adults
  • Design and continuously refine a cohesive, year‑long professional learning curriculum aligned with Zeta’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities
  • Serve as an architect of professional learning experiences, ensuring sessions are intentionally sequenced, connected, and drive meaningful change in adult practice and student outcomes
  • Design and facilitate high‑impact professional learning experiences for school leaders, teachers, and network staff
  • Create training materials inclusive of facilitator guides, toolkits, protocols, slide decks, online courses, and other resources that support successful implementation across the network
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify development needs and design learning experiences that address organizational priorities and support long‑term employee growth
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize participant feedback and performance data to evaluate impact and continuously improve professional learning experiences
  • Lead the planning and execution of major professional learning initiatives, maintaining ownership of project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication
  • Contribute as a member of a lean, high‑performing team by taking on additional projects and responsibilities in support of organizational priorities
  • Wear multiple hats as part of a lean scale‑up team, supporting the work of others and taking on new projects and tasks as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven track record of effective leadership as a current or former Principal or a highly successful Assistant Principal
  • Experience developing leaders and building strong systems that improve school outcomes
  • Strong instructional background and ability to design and facilitate year‑long professional learning experiences
  • Expertise in adult learning, instructional leadership, and change management
Compensation

Salary range: $90,000–$110,000, based on experience. Eligible for an annual discretionary, merit‑based performance bonus.
