Brief Job Description

Establish a classroom culture of calm, productive work developing meaningful lessons and experiences for PK age children.

• Create lesson plans and daily routines.
• Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons for students in PK3-8th rade.
• Plan and deliver engaging Health lessons for students in grades 7 and 8 (1 class each per week).
• Promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, and positive character development.
• Organize and supervise age-appropriate activities, games and fitness programs.
• Communicate professionally with the parents.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Assess student progress regularly and communicate any concerns with parents.
• Maintain a positive work environment among all staff that is professional, kind, and inclusive.
• Engage in weekly team meetings.
• Uphold and model the values and mission of a Catholic school community.

• BS in Education (Focus on Physical Education/Health Education)
• Experience working with students ages 3-14 preferred
• Working toward NYS teaching certification

• Use of email and electronic communication
• Scheduling of games
• Understanding of Sports Engine
• Strong communication skills
• Team player
