Hours:
Monday-Fri, 6pm - 10pm;
Sat, 10am - 5pm.
Candidates are expected to work a 4‑8‑hr shift within program hours, with exact schedules varying based on program needs.
JOB SUMMARYEvening Supervisor/Weekend Supervisor manages and oversees the evening and weekend teen/adult programs at Cornerstone facilities. The Evening Supervisor ensures the smooth operation of program activities, supervises staff, and maintains a safe and engaging environment for guests, participants and staff.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIREMENTS- High School Diploma or GED required; some college or college degree preferred
- At least 1 year of experience working with middle school and high school youths in a supervisory role.
- Valid CPR/AED and First Aid certification through a recognized accrediting body preferred.
- Familiarity with DYCD Connect is preferred.
- Candidate must successfully complete NYSDOH Fingerprinting Screening, NYS Clearance Review Background Check, SEL, 3 Reference Checks, and Physical with updated TB test.
- Oversee the center’s operation and ensure a safe and positive environment for teens, enforcing rules/policies, managing conflicts, and responding to emergencies.
- Assist in planning and development of activities, events and programs for teens by considering their interests and needs.
- Facilitate professional development for staff and conduct onboarding processes with new hires.
- Supervise staff, interns and volunteers to ensure they are trained, engaged and perform their duties effectively.
- Communicate effectively with teens, families and stakeholders, building positive relationships and addressing concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities and incidents.
- Input data onto DYCD Connect and communicate with DYCD program managers and deputies.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate and manage events, including planning, logistics and execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners to expand opportunities for program participants and families.
- Clean, organize and maintain workspace and shared spaces throughout the facility.
- Coordinate community relations efforts and participate in outreach activities.
- Assist in the planning, organization and execution of community events.
- Other assignments as required by the program director.
