Fall 2026 CCPS Computer Science, Mathematics and Science Adjunct Faculty Position(s)
The Division of Computer Science, Mathematics and Science delivers undergraduate programs in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Healthcare Informatics, and graduate programs in Computer Science, AI and Data Science, and Cyber and Information Security. The division is seeking adjunct faculty to teach cybersecurity and digital forensics courses face-to-face on the Queens campus.
Adjunct faculty work under the direct supervision of the Division Chair. Once assigned courses, they are expected to:
- Prepare and distribute a course outline according to the syllabus.
- Develop instructional materials (lectures, readings, assignments, exams, projects, etc.) that achieve the learning outcomes stated in the syllabus.
- Evaluate student performance throughout the semester and provide periodic and constructive feedback in a timely manner.
- Be available to engage with students outside the classroom by email, phone, web conferencing, or face-to-face meetings.
- Post final grades within the Provost’s Office timeframe, and be available for two weeks after the semester to discuss final grades with students by email or phone.
- Respond promptly to information requests before, during, and after the course as required by the Division Chair and the CCPS Dean’s Office.
Courses:
Cyber Security, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
Qualifications:
A master’s degree in the discipline or a related field is required. For instructor level, relevant industry and college teaching experience are preferred. For assistant professor, college teaching experience is required. For associate professor, college teaching experience is required and an earned doctorate in a related field is preferred. For full professor, extensive college teaching experience and an earned doctorate in a related field are required.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary range for this position is $1,803 to $2,215.
