Lecturer - Nursing Department

FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Nursing at the College of Staten Island (CSI) is currently seeking candidates for a Lecturer position, anticipated to begin in January 2027. This is a full-time, in-person teaching position.

Other qualifications include the ability to teach successfully and provide service; commitment to inclusive excellence; strong communication skills; and the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurses License in NYS, unencumbered.
  • Two years professional nursing practice in pediatrics or medical-surgical nursing.
  • Academic teaching experience in classroom and clinical sites in nursing.
  • Masters degree in nursing.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Doctoral degree in Nursing
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse certification and experience.
  • Three to five years teaching experience in nursing courses.
  • Knowledge of standards and practice in simulation activities.
  • Experience with academic accreditation and writing curricular reports.
  • COMPENSATION

    $86,721 - $91,753

    * Salaries will be adjusted by 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
