  • Plan and implement specific instruction for students in targeted small pull-out groups as well as through push-in support.
  • Assess student progress regularly.
  • Conduct observations and screenings to determine if a student is in need of additional literacy support.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support understanding of students’ learning needs and to differentiate classroom instruction.
  • Conduct team meetings in literacy curriculum for grades 3-4.
  • Work with the Academic Dean to review/discuss curricular cohesion in your division and school wide.
  • Oversee classroom assessments. In collaboration with classroom teachers, communicate with parents about individual student strengths and challenges, goal setting, and progress.
  • Collaborate with the Guidance Team.
  • Coordinate support with outside tutors and remedial specialists.
  • Write mid-year and year-end literacy summary reports for students taught.
  • Communicate routinely progress monitoring information to families.
  • Consult with the Admissions Office and assess applicants as needed.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in relevant field required.
  • 3-5 years teaching experience in an elementary setting required.
  • Experience with SRSD, Readers/Writers Workshop, Fundations, Words Their Way.
  • Experience with revising curriculum to meet the needs of current students.
  • Experience differentiating instruction to best support students.
  • Experience incorporating technology in support of student learning.

Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
