Description
The Nassau BOCES Department of District and Technology Services is seeking a Program Specialist II to support the Student Information Systems program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing on‑site training, email and phone support to district and building employees including administrators, teachers, and clerical staff on the use of student information systems. These include Power School, School Tool, Infinite Campus, and eSchool
Data. - Assisting districts with developing student schedules, troubleshooting grading, transcript calculations, and development of training materials.
- Providing 1:1 or group professional development to district staff and assisting districts with state reporting rules, regulations, and data verification.
- Researching issues related to student data, analysis of data extracts, and other duties related to student information systems.
- New York State Education Department (NYSED) Certification:
Teaching Certification. - NYSED Certification:
School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL) optional. - Knowledge of Power School, School Tool, Infinite Campus, or eSchool
Data (training will be provided). - Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
