Assistant Program Director for DYCD School-Based Programs

- Assist in the overall administration of the After school Program.
- Assist with training, scheduling of activities, daily supervision of staff, recordkeeping, reporting, data entry, communication with parents, and organization of special events.
- Coordinate responsibilities with the Program Director, Attendance Coordinator, Parent Coordinator, and the Human Resources Partner.
- Manage data tracking systems for enrollment and daily attendance accurately and timely.
- Coordinate communication of absences, special programming, and other participant updates to families.
- Oversee planning for family and community engagement events.
- Monitor and develop solutions for participant recruitment and retention challenges.
- Design and implement cohort-based programming to promote community building.
- Manage program office space and supplies.
- Supervise senior staff members on special projects.
- Assist the After school Program Director with human resources paperwork and filing.
- Serve as the program’s point person in the absence of the Program Director.
- Organize, lead, and promote student interest and participation in the program’s activities.
- Produce regular reports (weekly, monthly, annually) to support the Program Director.
- Ensure compliance with funders by updating staff files, DOH documents, and binders regularly.
- Perform any other program or agency‑related duties or special projects as directed.
- Full‑time, onsite position.
- Monday – Friday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, with flexibility.
- Compensation range: $50,000 – $60,000.

Able to travel to various sites in New York City, primarily Washington Heights and Inwood.
Minimum Qualifications- Associate degree in Education or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Two years’ experience working with youth in school‑age programs.
- Must meet all School‑Age Child Care (SACC) site supervisor qualifications.
- Current CPR/First Aid/RTE certifications preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Must be available to work day times, weekends, and evenings as needed.
- Documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Must pass background check, medical exams, fingerprinting, and other requirements of the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Education (DOE), and Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD).
