About This Role:

As a Senior Training Manager for the Parts Division of Carrier, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive training programs to ensure that our employees and customers have the necessary knowledge and skills to support our HVAC parts and components effectively. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to enhance product understanding, customer service, and overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs and develops product training plans, processes, and standards to promote Carrier's brand and products in the broader consumer market.
  • Designs multi‑level product training programs for customers and/or company sales/marketing personnel.
  • Approves training materials and product demonstration plans.
  • Evaluate training delivery and provide feedback to improve future programs.
  • Partners with customer leadership and leads the development of the necessary education/training programs for new product applications.
  • Establishes continuous improvement initiatives based on data and analysis gathered from product training and demonstrations to improve future programs.
Curriculum Creation:
  • Develop training materials, including presentations, manuals, online courses, and videos, ensuring they are up‑to‑date and engaging.
  • Create assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Design, develop, and implement training programs that cover a wide range of HVAC parts and components.
  • Identify training needs through performance analysis and work closely with department heads to define training goals.
Training Delivery:
  • Conduct training sessions for employees and customers, both in‑person and through virtual platforms.
  • Adapt training methods to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of participants.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and new product releases to incorporate relevant information into training.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with department heads, product managers, and sales teams to align training programs with business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the Parts Division.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and feedback.
  • Provide regular reports to management on the success and impact of training programs.
Compliance:
  • Ensure that all training programs adhere to industry regulations and safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 + years of experience in training & development
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Training & development experience preferably in the HVAC industry
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact within a cross‑functional team of engineering, sales, purchasing, and marketing.
  • Successful experience in leading teams and working in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytic skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Sense of urgency, self‑initiative, commitment, and sense of ownership
  • Superior follow‑up and follow‑through skills
