Spanish Teacher

The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and student-centered Spanish Teacher to join our faculty for the  school year. This is a full-time, ten-month position offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package as outlined in the Faculty Association Agreement. Salary is commensurate with experience. As a Spanish Teacher, you will play an essential role in fostering a love of language and culture in students while helping them build proficiency in Spanish.

The ideal candidate will be collaborative, culturally responsive, and committed to continuous professional growth. You will be part of a supportive educational community that values meaningful learning, active curiosity, and compassion in all teaching practices.

Qualifications

  • Valid New York State Certification in Spanish 7-12 (required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective language acquisition pedagogy and instructional strategies
  • Ability to develop engaging lessons that support differentiated instruction and accommodate diverse learners
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • A commitment to fostering a culturally inclusive and globally aware classroom environment
  • Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools to support instruction
