Humanities Teacher

• Primary responsibility includes teaching Humanities to students in Middle School.
• This teacher will be a part of a collaborative department with an internationally focused curriculum.
• Supervising students during non-instructional time, attending curriculum and grade level meetings.
• Other duties as assigned and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (e.g., advisory, supervision duties, office hours).

Advisor

The teacher will be part of a grade-level team of Advisors who supports the social-emotional needs of the Middle School grade.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills, oral and written, and ability to adapt messages to specific audiences, requiring different levels of detail.
• Proactive, positive team player.
• Curious, inquiring, inventive, and open mindset.

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Master's Degree preferred).
• Experience in a K-12 educational environment essential.
• Five years teaching experience, preferably in an international setting.
• Experience with best practices in assessment and reporting best practices preferred (e.g., Standard-Based Grading and Reporting).

Compensation is between $67,745 and $111,974, commensurate with years of experience as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (salary is prorated for part-time or temporary positions pending the completion of collective bargaining negotiations currently underway).
