The New York Public Library is seeking teens in grades 10–12 to join the Teen Reading Ambassadors program at local branches in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island. Ambassadors tutor children ages 6–12, support literacy activities, and help produce Portal, a children's literary magazine.
Positions run Sept 25, 2026 through June 3, 2027 with 3–3.5 hour after-school shifts, training on Oct 3/9 and Nov 14, and 32 weeks of work including after-school and weekend events.
