Alpha has redesigned traditional instruction. Students move through academic content independently using AI‑adaptive applications. There are no lectures, textbooks, or pacing calendars. Your position builds 20‑minute small‑group workshops using real‑time application data and leads motivation sessions to bring 100% of students to their weekly app targets. You adjust workshops mid‑day based on data and help parents understand their child’s progress.
Your initial months focus on establishing credibility through engaging workshops and high student satisfaction (target 90%+). Successful techniques become templates for other Alpha campuses.
Before an offer, you’ll submit a short video sharing an engaging story for young children and spend a full day on campus working directly with K‑3 students.
What You Will Be Doing- Building small‑group K‑3 reading workshops using live adaptive‑app data, rooted in structured‑literacy approaches.
- Leading daily motivation sessions to bring 100% of students to their weekly app targets using Alpha’s motivational framework.
- Analyzing AI‑generated performance metrics to modify instruction mid‑day.
- Conducting running records, fluency probes, and decoding assessments to generate gains reflected in weekly campus data review.
- Serving as the engaging, high‑energy adult your K‑3 students anticipate seeing daily.
- Implementing a published reading curriculum, scripted program, or district pacing guide.
- Delivering lectures to a full class; all teaching occurs in small, targeted groups.
- Functioning as a reading consultant, teacher coach, or district‑level specialist.
- Managing a traditional classroom schedule; schedule consists of workshops, motivation sessions, and data‑driven small groups.
- Authoring IEPs, 504 plans, or formal diagnostic reports; progress captured in app data and your running records.
Generate measurable K‑3 reading progress across phonics, fluency, and comprehension within a campus community where results are assessed weekly.
Basic Requirements- Structured‑literacy certification (Orton‑Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson Reading System, IMSE, CERI, Neuhaus, UFLI, or equivalent) OR a Master’s degree in reading instruction.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, plus 2+ years of full‑time K‑3 structured reading instruction in a school or clinical setting within the last 5 years.
- Proven ability to create your own reading lessons and explain what you teach and how, without depending on a published program.
- Availability to work in person full‑time at one Alpha campus:

Boston, MA; or New York City, NY. - Willingness to work with all K‑3 students (not exclusively struggling readers) and incorporate AI and adaptive‑learning tools into daily instruction.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
- Practical experience with AI‑powered or adaptive reading platforms (e.g., Amira, Lexia, i‑Ready, Reading Plus) for lesson planning or student data interpretation.
- Documented history of measurable reading outcomes (fluency gains, accuracy improvement, decoding level advancement) with specific numbers.
- Familiarity with diagnostic reading assessments such as DRA, DIBELS, AIMSweb for creating differentiated groups.
- Experience in high‑accountability educational settings (independent schools, elite charter schools, premium tutoring).
- Background in performing, coaching youth sports, or otherwise engaging a K‑3 audience outside the classroom.

Employment TermsThis is a full‑time (40 hours per week) long‑term position, immediately available, and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
