Substitute Teachers

The Arlington Central School District is seeking qualified candidates for per diem Substitute Teacherpositions for the 2026/2027school year. The starting rate of pay for a Certified Substitute Teacher is $137/full-day and for a Non-Certified Substitute Teacher it is $127/full-day with the opportunity for a bonus to be paid in July 2027(see details below). As a per diem substitute, your position is based on working either a full-day or half-day.

Interviews will occur on a monthly basis.

• Substitute for at least 50 days = $500 bonus, or;
• Substitute for at least 75 days = $750 bonus, or;
• Substitute for at least 100 days = $1,000 bonus

• Substitute for at least 50 days = $500 bonus, or;
• Substitute for at least 75 days = $750 bonus

• A minimum education requirement for a Non-Certified Substitute Teacher position is an Associate's degree or 60 college credit.
