Prospect Schools is a high-performing, intentionally diverse K-12 college preparatory charter network serving nearly 3,000 students across seven schools in Brooklyn. The STEM Enrichment Instructor will lead a high-engagement, project-based learning club within a specific STEM discipline. This role requires an instructor who can inspire curiosity, teach critical thinking skills, and create a fun, inclusive environment where students can explore new technologies and strategies.

• Supervise and ensure the safety, well-being, and engagement of up to 15 students during after-school programming.
• Plan and facilitate engaging lessons and enrichment activities, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs and interests.
• Establish learning objectives, monitor student progress, and support skill development through project-based activities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation, collaboration, and character development.
• Prepare classrooms and materials, maintain attendance records, and assist with daily program setup and cleanup.
• Implement safety protocols, including emergency procedures and evacuation drills.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and adjust activities to maximize student engagement and outcomes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the After‑School Program Director.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications or credentials in relevant STEM disciplines are preferred.
• Availability to work late afternoons and/or evenings (typically 4:00–6:00 p.m., with program hours between 3:00–6:30 p.m.).
• Experience in one or more STEM disciplines and prior experience working with youth in a classroom, enrichment, or after‑school setting preferred.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and group facilitation skills, with the ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners and follow program schedules.
• Passion for STEM education and youth development; candidates qualified to lead instruction in multiple activities are preferred. Must successfully complete required background checks and clearances.

• $25 - $35 per hour
