General Description

Teach courses in the Animal Management program on the SUNY Niagara main campus in Sanborn, NY on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Remuneration is $1,008 per lecture hour and $903 per lab hour.

Essential Functions

Work with and teach a diverse student population. Speak in front of groups. Communicate effectively with students, co‑workers, supervisors, and the campus community. Develop, prepare, and present information. Operate computers. Physically perform duties of the position.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and enrollment in a Master’s program in Biology, Zoology, Wildlife Conservation, or related curriculum; 1 year teaching experience at the post‑secondary level.

Desirable Qualifications

Master’s degree in Biology, Zoology, Wildlife Conservation, or related curriculum; two years teaching at the community college level;
Minimum one year work experience as a professional zookeeper or aquarist.
