Missions In Brief

Under the authority of the Mayor and the Director General of Services, the coordinator for childhood and youth is a central figure in implementing the Territorial Educational Project (PEDT) and the childhood and youth policy of the municipality. In a context of evolving needs and increasing partnerships (National Education, delegated association, municipal services, families, sports and cultural associations), the community aims to strengthen the coherence, quality, and management of educational actions.

The creation of this position responds to the need to sustainably structure this public policy. Your main duties will include:

• Piloting and coordinating educational actions within the framework of the PEDT and the Global Territorial Convention (CTG): in partnership with the CTG coordinator;
• Ensuring operational links between the municipality, the delegated association for extracurricular activities, schools, and families;
• Administrative and regulatory follow-up of childhood and youth programs;
• Development of educational projects and cross-cutting actions within the framework of the PEDT;
• Monitoring school affairs: management of exemptions, participation in school councils;
• Advice and support to elected officials in defining and implementing the orientations of the childhood and youth policy;
• Regulatory monitoring and participation in the evaluation of programs.

Working conditions:

• Work time of 35 hours per week;
• Statutory remuneration + IFSE + CIA;
• Employer participation in life assurance and health.

Confirmed experience in a similar position is required:

• Knowledge of actors and issues in the Childhood and Youth sector;
• Mastery of the PEDT, writing pedagogical projects, and animation projects;
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations related to the reception of minors;
• Understanding of the organization and functioning of the Territorial Public Service;
• Ability to work in partnership with all educational actors;
• Mastery of project methodology: analysis of needs, retro planning, objectives, tools, communication, evaluation;
• Force of proposal and sense of public service;
• Relational qualities, listening, dynamism, team spirit;
• Capacity for initiative and autonomy.

Art. L332-14 of the General Code of the Public Service - A contractual employee may be recruited for this position in the waiting period for the recruitment of a civil servant. The proposed contract cannot exceed one year, renewable up to a total duration of two years.
