Position Summary:Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University seeks dynamic individuals to teach courses in the following undergraduate Marketing courses:
Marketing Capstone, Consumer Behavior, Social Media, and Principles of Marketing at our Wilf (Washington Heights) or Beren (Midtown) campuses.
Strong candidates would have an earned doctoral degree (ABDs considered) in Marketing or relevant disciplines below (e.g., Social Media, Buyer Behavior), teaching experience of 3 years or more, and an active research agenda or professional business experience.
Position Responsibilities:- Teach up to two undergraduate courses in-person up to twice a week, in one or more of the following areas:
Marketing Capstone, Consumer Behavior, Social Media, and Principles of Marketing. - Contribute to the school through scholarly inquiry resulting in publications and service to the university.
- A doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited institution with expertise in Marketing or one or more of the above mentioned areas.
- Have a record of publications and/or an active research agenda.
- Candidates with professional corporate experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates without a doctoral degree are encouraged to apply if:
- They are pursuing their doctoral degree in one of the fields above, or they have a master's degree in one of the fields above and at least five years of professional experience in the industry.
- Prior college-level teaching experience of 3 years or more. High teaching evaluation scores are preferred.
- Have a record of publications and/or an active research agenda (optional).
- A cover letter addressing the qualifications.
- Recent students' evaluations for in-person instruction.
- One recommendation letter from a current or former supervisor.
