Reports To:
Community School Director
Global Kids is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Part-Time Site Monitor to support the successful implementation of the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). The Site Monitor plays a critical role in ensuring program compliance, maintaining a safe and engaging environment, and supporting daily site operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Monitoring & Compliance
- Conduct site visits to SYEP worksites to ensure alignment with SYEP guidelines and Global Kids standards
- Conduct routine site check-ins to observe participant engagement, attendance, and staff interactions
- Ensure accurate attendance tracking and proper documentation is maintained, including
- Communicate consistently with
Worksite
Coordinator and Community School Director to address concerns and challenges - Document all site visits, participant check-ins, and observations using required forms
Participant Support
- Serve as a visible and approachable presence for youth participants
- Help reinforce program expectations, including punctuality, behavior, and participation
- Support conflict resolution and promote a positive and inclusive environment
Communication & Reporting
- Maintain clear andtimelycommunication with Workforce Coordinator, Community School Director and central program staff
- Complete monitoring reports and submit required documentation on weekly
- High school diploma required; some college preferred
- Experience working with youth (middle school, high school, or young adults) is strongly preferred
- Strong observational and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of youth and staff
- Commitment to youth development, equity, and Global Kids’ mission
- Ability to work independently andtravel to/between multiple worksites
- Familiarity with SYEP or other workforce development programs
- Conflict resolution and youth engagement skills
- Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus
$18 - $22 an hour, depending on experience and qualifications, for 20 hours per week. GK also offers paid personal day and sicktime. GK staff also have access to retail discounts through our Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
