Salary Range: $150.00 – $190.00 per diem depending on certification level and length of assignment (pending negotiations)

Position Summary: The above substitute teachers’ positions are available for the 2026‑2027 school year.

• Certification required – minimum County Substitute Certification
• New Jersey Standard Certificate preferred
• New Jersey Certificate of Eligibility preferred
• County Substitute License preferred
• Applicants without any of the above credentials must have at least 30 college credits in order to apply for a County Substitute License
• Fingerprinting is required for criminal history background clearance
• Required physical and drug test offered free of charge

Technology

Skills:

Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Frontline Applications, and Student Information System.

Evaluation of Performance: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education policy.

Terms of Employment: Per diem pay.
