Yes The Research Foundation of CUNY seeks a CPL Outreach & Engagement Specialist to support grant-funded initiatives within the Office of Credit for Prior Learning (CPL). This role focuses on outreach, recruitment, and transition support for adult learners entering LaGuardia through non-credit, workforce, and CPL pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct outreach and recruitment targeting adult learners in workforce and non-credit programs
Deliver workshops and information sessions on CPL, admissions, and student services
Provide individualized transition support and referrals
Support implementation of grant-funded student supports
Track participation data and assist with reporting
Collaborate with Academic Affairs, ACE, Enrollment Management, and Student Affairs Additional Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Adult Learner Success and Credit for Prior Learning in the training, coordination, and day-to-day management of peer leaders associated with the grant-funded initiative.
Support the delivery of structured peer leader trainings focused on CPL pathways, student navigation, and referral protocols.
Help coordinate peer leader activities, schedules, and communications under the guidance of CPL leadership.
Contribute to tracking peer leader participation and outcomes for grant reporting and evaluation purposes.
Develop and deliver presentations and information sessions in classrooms, workshops, and community-based settings.
Create and update marketing and outreach materials, including flyers, presentations, one-pagers, and digital content.
Utilize outreach and communication tools such as Constant Contact, listservs, social media platforms, and targeted phone campaigns.
Provide direct transition support to adult learners entering credit-bearing degree programs, including individualized guidance and referrals.
Develop and facilitate college transition workshops covering admissions, CPL opportunities, financial aid, and student support services.
Assist the Director of Credit for Prior Learning in training, coordinating, and managing peer leaders associated with the grant-funded initiative.
Support implementation of grant-funded student supports, including scholarships, application fee assistance, peer mentorship, workshops, and events.
Track outreach, participation, peer leader engagement, and student participation data to support grant reporting and evaluation.
Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Adult and Continuing Education, Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, and community partners.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Two years of experience in adult education, workforce development, or student support
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Availability for evenings/weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in related field
Familiarity with CUNY systems and CPLAdvisement experience
Bilingual preferred
