Generative AI Training & Support Specialist
Location:
Midtown Manhattan, New York, NY (3-days onsite/2-days remote Hybrid Schedule)
Note:
This is a W2 contract position – C2C, 1099, & 3rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered.
- Reporting to the Sr. Manager of User Engagement, Education, & Tech. Academy.
- Design and facilitate live and on-demand training on generative AI tools, including (but not limited to) HearstGPT, ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude.
- Build and deliver training on AI coding assistants such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, assisting engineering and technical teams in using these tools effectively.
- Develop clear, engaging learning materials—including guides, job aids, and video content—for employees at varying levels of AI fluency.
- Support the Generative AI Champions community group and other Tech Academy programs by contributing content and aligning to existing sessions.
- Serve as a support resource for employee questions about AI tools, use cases, and responsible use guidelines.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure training reflects current policies on data privacy and AI usage.
- Track training participation, learner feedback, and engagement metrics to continuously improve program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to stay current on AI tool updates and surface relevant learning opportunities.
- 3-5 years of experience in training, instructional design, adult education, or a related field.
- Hands‑on experience with generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, or similar); experience training others on generative AI tools preferred.
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants, such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, and the ability to translate their capabilities into training for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience designing and facilitating both live (virtual/in‑person) and asynchronous learning.
- Understanding of adult learning theory and its application to AI‑related content.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑changing environment where tools, policies, and best practices evolve quickly.
- Strong organizational skills and consistent attention to detail across multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, specifically Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, and Outlook.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred.
- Familiarity with responsible AI use principles and data privacy considerations preferred.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Adult Education, Teaching, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Communications, Writing, or a related field.
