Position Title:

Assistant/Associate Professor (Aging/ Gerontology), School of Social Work

The School of Social Work at the University at Buffalo is searching for a faculty colleague in the area of aging/gerontology to join our school in a tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor
.

The successful candidate for this position will have:

• A doctorate in Social Work or a related discipline
• An MSW with practice experience
• An active research agenda
• Experience teaching social work courses in seated, online, and hybrid environments

Duties include:

• Conducting fundable research
• Teaching in the school’s degree programs
• Engaging in cross-disciplinary collaboration with university colleagues
• Participating on school committees

Applicants are expected to have a scholarly record appropriate for the rank to which they are applying.

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD in social work, social welfare, or a related field
• MSW in social work or master’s degree in a related field
• An active research agenda

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in social work or social welfare
• MSW with two years of post-masters degree experience in gerontology/aging
• An active research agenda
