Salary Range: $90, (salary is based upon but not limited to factors including years of experience, education level, and expertise)

The Associate Director of Development is a key member of the Advancement Team, supporting the execution of the school’s Annual Fund, leading Alumni Relations efforts, and managing the development database. This role balances frontline engagement with operational responsibility and is ideal for a development professional looking to grow into broader strategic leadership.

The position partners closely with the Chief Advancement Officer on Annual Fund strategy and plays a lead role in strengthening alumni engagement and building a pipeline of future donors.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS
  • Annual Fund
    • Partner with the Chief Advancement Officer to execute the school’s Annual Fund strategy.
    • Manage day-to-day operations of the annual fund, including timelines, appeals, and tracking.
    • Coordinate and implement multi-channel solicitations (email, direct mail, digital)
    • Recruit, train, and support parent and alumni volunteers (e.g., class agents, ambassadors) using Veracross Database to track volunteer lists and updates
    • Assist in developing donor segments and targeted outreach strategies.
    • Identify and qualify potential leadership Annual Fund and major gift prospects.
  • Alumni Relations
    • Lead the planning and execution of a comprehensive alumni relations program.
    • Develop and manage a calendar of alumni events including an Annual Reunion Weekend.
    • Engage alumni through consistent outreach and personal meetings, meeting established annual visit benchmarks to foster deep institutional affinity and advance prospects through the donor pipeline.
    • Serve as the primary staff liaison for alumni volunteers and leadership groups including oversight and growth of the Class Reps program and Alumni Council
    • Partner with admissions and communications to engage alumni as ambassadors.
    • Increase alumni participation in both engagement and giving over time.
    • Oversee the Grade 8 Gift program as our oldest students transition to our youngest alumni.
    • Coordinate alumni speaker for Recognition Chapel.
    • Oversee annual Alumni Survey administration and analysis for Grade 8, High School Sophomore, and High School Senior surveys.
  • Event and Project Management
    • Support all development events and provide support for school-wide events as requested.
    • Act as point person for St. Luke’s Annual Alumni Reunion Weekend.
    • Support St. Luke’s Annual Spring Benefit with a particular focus on managing items for the silent auction, raffle, and teacher playdates and managing the online auction and ticketing website.
    • Support event logistics for St. Luke’s annual Special Visitor’s Day.
    • Generate content related to job responsibilities for our annual Winged Ox magazine.
  • Provide oversight for the Development database (Veracross)
