The Quad Preparatory School seeks a 1:1 Psychosocial Assistant for the Lower School (Kindergarten–5th grade) for the  school year. Your primary role will be to implement psychosocial strategies and interventions with the student you are paired with, working closely with academic and clinical teams.

• Support a single assigned student in academic content, psychosocial goals, and behavioral plans
• Track psychosocial and executive functioning goals and collect data to monitor progress
• Collaboratively write progress reports for the assigned student
• Ensure student safety using crisis prevention techniques
• Support other students as instructed, implementing general classroom supports and routines
• Assist with transitions between classes and activities, using visual timers, reminders, and praise
• Implement instructional activities driven by student learning styles and assessment alternatives
• Provide scaffolding, modeling, and materials to empower student independence
• Apply executive function frameworks in instruction, intervention, and treatment planning
• Collaborate with academic and clinical staff to enrich learning experiences and implement classroom‑wide supports
• Work cooperatively with school administrators, support personnel, colleagues, and parents to deliver a student‑centered environment
• Apply evidence‑based practices responsive to the intensity, complexity, and asynchronous development of gifted and twice‑exceptional learners
• Demonstrate curiosity and learn about cognitive, social‑emotional, and executive functioning profiles of gifted and 2e students
• Participate in all training and staff development modules, including required readings on 2E and related education developments
• Attend faculty and staff meetings, professional development sessions, and required special events (e.g., open houses, Curriculum Night, Carnivale)
• Use GSuite, specifically Google Drive, in daily tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Have a love for working with children and a desire to support students with special needs
• Be able to connect with elementary school‑aged children
• Have experience in crisis intervention
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Understand elementary school‑aged children’s academic, social, and emotional development
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy, exhibit ethical conduct, and manage time effectively
