The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City's leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth, and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville, and seek to deliver programs that are impactful, innovative, and intergenerational.

Program Description

Goddard Riverside is a well-established Manhattan community-based agency with an annual operating budget of approximately $50 million. Goddard Riverside is one of New York City's leading human service organizations meeting the basic needs of children, youth and families, homeless people, and older adults across Manhattan and New York City.

Position Summary

The primary function of the Activity Specialist is to plan group activities that provide a safe and engaging learning environment to the participants of the Stanley M. Isaacs Beacon program. The program is delivered through a comprehensive menu of services, including project-based learning that integrate education enrichment, visual arts, clubs, trips, and sports.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, September 16, 2024 - June 13, 2025 (some holidays, evening and Saturdays) 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (Hours may vary) 17-20 hours per week

$20.00
