Lead Teacher (Toddler Classroom)
Location: The Learning Experience – Upper West Side, New York, NY

Pay: $20–$23 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (Preferred shift: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM or 9:30 AM–6:30 PM
)

The Learning Experience – Upper West Side is growing and is looking for an experienced Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our team as soon as possible
. If you're passionate about guiding curious, energetic toddlers through their most exciting developmental years, we'd love to hear from you.

As the Lead Teacher, you'll create a nurturing classroom where children build language, independence, social-emotional skills, and a lifelong love of learning through purposeful play and meaningful interactions.

What You'll Do

• Lead a Toddler classroom with confidence and enthusiasm
• Plan engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences using The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Foster children's cognitive, language, physical, and social-emotional development
• Create a structured, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
• Mentor Assistant Teachers and promote teamwork within the classroom
• Build strong relationships with families through ongoing communication
• Maintain compliance with all New York State licensing requirements and center policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, or CDA required
• Previous Lead Teacher experience with toddlers preferred
• Strong classroom management and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
