TAG Med Staffing is hiring a Field Supervisor (School-Based Paraprofessionals) to join our school-based healthcare staffing team and oversee day-to-day paraprofessional operations across assigned New York City schools. This field-based leadership role focuses on attendance management, classroom observations, performance coaching, school partnerships, and service compliance to support high-quality special education services. The position travels between school sites to promote consistent staffing, professional standards, and student success.
Responsibilities as the Field Supervisor (School-Based Paraprofessionals):
- Field Operations: Oversee daily paraprofessional attendance, punctuality, scheduling, and coverage across assigned school locations.
- Performance Management: Conduct classroom observations, provide coaching, and address performance or conduct concerns with paraprofessional staff.
- School Partnerships: Serve as the primary point of contact for school teams and coordinate communication regarding staffing, schedules, and classroom support.
- Student Support & Compliance: Monitor adherence to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), behavior support strategies, safety procedures, and professional standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate attendance, observation, incident, training, and performance records using digital systems.
- Onboarding & Retention: Support school-based orientations, conduct regular employee check-ins, and identify opportunities to improve engagement and retention.
Qualifications for the Field Supervisor (School-Based Paraprofessionals):
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
- Licensure: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel between school sites.
- Certification: Crisis intervention or de-escalation training is preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in school-based paraprofessional services, special education, student support, or school operations is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), behavior intervention strategies, classroom support models, and school-based staffing practices is required.

Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with digital attendance, scheduling, documentation, or school information systems are required. - Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, communication, coaching, organization, and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to travel between locations and work independently in a field-based environment are required. Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
