**** POSITION/ROLE OVERVIEW
**** The School of Jazz & Contemporary Music at The New School is seeking highly qualified candidates to join its roster of Part-Time Teaching Staff.
**** CORE CAPABILITIES, PRIMARY DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
***** Provide dedicated mentorship and instruction to students within the School of Jazz & Contemporary Music
* Serve as a substitute instructor within the School of Jazz & Contemporary Music
* Assess student learning outcomes and aid student success and individual artistic growth
* Submit grades in a timely manner
**** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
***** Demonstrated success as a performing artist, with significant professional accomplishments and accolades
* 2-3 years of teaching experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives, preferably in a College, University, and/or Conservatory
* Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues, fostering inclusive classroom environments
* Proven track record with achieving learning outcomes as defined by curriculum and course syllabi
**** PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
***** A Bachelor’s, advanced, or terminal degree in the field of specialty or equivalent experience (BM, MM, DMA, PH.D or equivalent)
**** WORK MODE
**** This position is primarily in-person and is based on campus to support effective in-person collaboration and engagement. #LI-DNI
**** SALARY RANGE
**** Jazz Private Lessons - $156.00/hour

Part-Time Teaching Staff Substitute - $120.00/hour
