Building Trades Instructor
Location:
Adirondack Educational Center
- Saranac Lake, NY
Duties:
- Assess, plan and provide instruction for students so that they may acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes for successful employment or further training
- Provide instruction so that students may acquire the necessary academic and hands-on skills necessary to meet New York State education outcomes and standards
- Prepare students to meet local business and industry standards
- Perform other duties assigned by the program administrator
General
Qualifications:
- Applicants must possess or be eligible for a NYS Career and Technical Education (CTE) certification
- Minimum 5 years occupational experience in any carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical and other related concentrations in the trade area
- High school diploma required;
Associate degree in related construction-based field preferred - NYSED fingerprint clearance required
Starting Date:
September 2026
Salary:
Competitive salary based on the collective bargaining agreement and relative experience
