Job Summary
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Lead Infant Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will ignite a love for learning from the very start. In this dynamic role, you will create a warm, engaging environment tailored to the developmental needs of infants and toddlers, fostering growth in literacy, social skills, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes early literacy, math skills, physical development, and social-emotional learning tailored to infants and toddlers.
Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
Plan engaging lesson activities that support childhood development milestones and incorporate Montessori or other educational philosophies as appropriate.
Provide attentive toddler care by monitoring health, hygiene, nutrition, and safety standards in compliance with childcare regulations.
Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transition activities with patience and consistency.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about each child's progress, behavioral updates, and developmental milestones.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure classroom management strategies are effective and aligned with early intervention practices for children needing additional support.
Experience & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or currently pursuing.Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in licensed childcare centers or preschool settings is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
Experience in curriculum development focused on literacy education, sensory activities, and physical education for young children.
Familiarity with standardized testing methods used to assess early learning outcomes is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while maintaining a positive learning environment.
