Working Hours: Monday and Wednesday 2pm - 5:45pm

General Description: SUNY Niagara has a need for a part time Drafting Electrical Design & Drafting CADD Instructor to teach courses in the Drafting department within the Business and STEM division. This position will be responsible for teaching and advising students throughout the academic year who are enrolled in the program. PT instructors will also be responsible for attending meetings as requested.

Classes are held in person on SUNY Niagara’s main campus in Sanborn, NY. Applicants must be able to attend in-person meetings, professional development, and other obligations on the Sanborn campus.

Remuneration: For teaching at least 3 credits in a semester: $1,008 per lecture hour / $903 per lab hour.

• Teach course on campus.
• Track attendance as needed.
• Report on student learning outcomes at the end of the semester.
• Report grades at the conclusion of the semester.
• Attend and participate in meetings as necessary.

Ability to navigate relationships with diverse populations; ability to speak in front of groups of people; ability to actively involve and engage students in their own learning; effective communication with students, co‑workers, supervisors and the campus and external community; ability to develop, prepare, and present information; computer operation skills; and ability to perform the physical duties of the position.

• Associates degree in Drafting.
• Two years of experience in Drafting.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Technology.
• 2 years of experience particularly in AutoCAD and Electrical design.
