General DescriptionSUNY Niagara has a need for a part‑time instructor to teach various physics courses in our Business & STEM division. Classes are held on the main campus in Sanborn, NY.
Courses- General Physics I lab
- General Physics II lab
- Calculus Based Physics I lab
- Calculus Based Physics II lab
- Wave, Motion, Heat, & Light lab
- Teach courses in the delivery format agreed upon (face‑to‑face, zoom option, hyflex, hybrid, blended, or online)
- Hold office hours (in person or virtual as appropriate)
- Report on student learning outcomes at the end of the semester
- Report grades at the conclusion of the semester
Ability to work with, and teach a diverse student population; effectively communicate with students, co‑workers, supervisors, and the campus community; develop, prepare and present information; operate computers; physically perform the duties of the position; adjust teaching to ADA provisions.
Required Qualifications- Master’s Degree in Physics or related field OR Master’s Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Physics or related field
- At least one year teaching experience at the post‑secondary level
Background in alternative course delivery models and instructional experience at a community/technical college or four‑year college with emphasis in calculus‑based physics.
