Part Time Structural Drafting Instructor
Suny Niagara is recruiting a part‑time Drafting Instructor to teach courses in the Drafting department within the Business and STEM division. The instructor will be responsible for teaching and advising students throughout the academic year who are enrolled in the program and attending meetings as requested.
Position Information
- Position title: Part Time Structural Drafting Instructor
- Position category: Faculty
- Employment status: FLSA Exempt
- Department: Computer‑Aided Drafting & Design
- Working hours: part‑time (available to teach 3+ credits per semester)
- Remuneration: $1,008 per lecture hour / $903 per lab hour
- Location: Classes held in person on the main campus in Sanborn, NY
- Teach course on campus
- Track attendance as needed
- Report on student learning outcomes at the end of the semester
- Report grades at the conclusion of the semester
- Attend and participate in meetings as necessary
Ability to navigate relationships with diverse populations, speak in front of groups, actively involve and engage students, effectively communicate with students, coworkers, supervisors, campus and external community, develop, prepare, and present information, operate computers, and perform the physical duties of the position.
Required Qualifications- Associate’s degree in Drafting
- Two years of experience in drafting
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering Technology
- Five years of experience, particularly in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural design and drafting
