Description

The Assistant Director of International Admissions supports the Institution's international recruitment efforts by cultivating relationships with school counselors and teachers, educational partners, government organizations, sponsoring agencies around the world, prospective students and families, and other stakeholders. This position represents the institution internationally, manages recruitment activities, conducts market research, analyzes data to inform decision making, and provides insights that support enrollment planning.

Reporting to the Director of Admissions - Undergraduate, the Assistant Director serves as the primary international admissions recruiter connecting and attracting prospective students and families. The position also collaborates closely with campus partners to expand institutional visibility, strengthen international partnerships, and enhance the overall recruitment experience.

The ideal candidate is relationship-oriented, culturally knowledgeable, highly organized, research and data-centric, and comfortable working across diverse educational systems. This role requires exceptional communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a willingness to travel extensively in support of institutional goals.

Examples of Duties
  • International Recruitment
    :
    • Plan and execute recruitment travel in collaboration with the Director of Admissions.
    • Assist with territory planning by providing observations, market insights, and recruitment feedback.
    • Represent the institution at international college fairs, schools, counselor events, education exhibitions and virtual recruitment events.
    • Conduct high school visits and presentations within assigned recruitment territories.
    • Develop strong working relationships with schools, universities, educational partners, government and scholarship organizations, and other stakeholders.
    • Maintain regular communication with school counselors, educators, alumni, and recruitment partners to strengthen institutional visibility and student pipelines and to support long-term collaboration.
    • Collaborate with alumni and institutional partners to support recruitment initiatives and strengthen the institution's global presence.
    • Maintain current knowledge of institutional academic programs, student services, and admissions and enrollment processes and policies.
    • Maintain accurate and timely inquiry records in the admissions CRM (Slate).
    • Serve as the primary point of contact fielding communication to and from prospective students, parents, and educators via phone, text, and email.
    • Answer questions and help prospective students understand eligibility requirements, admission policies, and their path to enrollment.
    • Maintain cultural awareness to advise prospective students with empathy and understanding cultural nuances
  • Market Research & Analysis
    :
    • In collaboration with the Director of Admissions, research international education markets and monitor demographic, economic, and educational trends affecting student mobility.
    • Maintain awareness of competitor activities, recruitment trends, and emerging markets.
    • Maintain accurate data during all recruitment activities including post-event comments, contact information, market observations, trends, etc.
