Chappaqua CSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary position of Science (Biology) Teacher at Robert

E. Bell Middle School beginning September 2, 2026. Skills, knowledge and abilities include being familiar with NYS Science Standards and using them for unit and lesson plan development. Translates lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize available time for instruction. Fosters a welcoming classroom environment that nurtures emotional well-being and a sense of belonging.

Uses formative assessments to gauge student understanding. Has experience with evidence-based social-emotional learning strategies to promote emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the RULER approach is preferred. Uses knowledge of students and student performance when planning lessons. Infuses culturally relevant practices to ensure that lessons reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all students. Integrates diverse perspectives and voices into instructional materials and resources to broaden students' understanding of the world.

Maintains high expectations for all students. Engages in regular, collaborative professional development with the understanding that team efficacy is greater than individual efforts alone. Certifications/
